OneGoal Receives $130,000 from Taco Bell Foundation to Support Students in Texas and Georgia
The Taco Bell Foundation is awarding a record-breaking $28 million in Community Grants in 2025 – marking the fourth year that OneGoal has been selected as a grant recipient.
HOUSTON, TX and ATLANTA, GA, August 6, 2025–OneGoal, a national education nonprofit dedicated to transforming postsecondary advising and support, today announced it has received two 2025 Community Grants from the Taco Bell Foundation, totaling $130,000. This funding will support OneGoal’s work in Texas and Georgia, helping hundreds of students receive the college and career advising they need to pursue their goals.
This marks the fourth year OneGoal in Texas has been selected as a grant recipient, and it is a first for the Georgia region. In 2025, the Taco Bell Foundation awarded a record-breaking $28 million in Community Grants to nearly 500 nonprofit organizations.
“We are building a movement in Georgia, Texas, and across the country to fundamentally change the way high school students plan their futures,” said Taylor Ramsey, OneGoal Executive Director in Georgia. “The Taco Bell Foundation grant funding will ensure that students get the high-quality expert guidance they need and deserve to make informed decisions about their college and career options and feel confident that they can succeed in whichever pathway they choose.”
Local franchisee JAI Restaurant Group nominated OneGoal in Georgia for the Taco Bell grant. “Our youth are the heart and soul of our brand, and nothing is more important than seeing them be successful in their careers and their lives, so we are so excited and thrilled we have partnered with the OneGoal program,” shared Micah Melvin, Vice President of Operations of JAI Taco Bell Atlanta.
Funding by Taco Bell demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to expanding access to postsecondary advising, mentorship, and career readiness programs for young people across their communities. “We believe that empowering young people is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the future,” said Lisa Lane Cardin, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation. “This record investment is a testament to the power of community-driven change and the limitless potential that exists when we remove barriers and open doors.”
Through this grant, OneGoal will be able to deliver high-quality college and career advising to thousands of students, while impacting system-level change through coaching and professional development for school leaders. OneGoal transforms postsecondary advising and support so that every student can define their own future. Together with our partners, we’re building a movement to close the opportunity gap. We work side-by-side with partner schools and districts to build their knowledge and capacity. The result is more equitable and effective support for all students. Since our inception, OneGoal has reached over 150,000 students with our unique approach, honed over 15 years, which prioritizes strong human relationships. And it’s proven to deliver real student impact. 80% of OneGoal high school graduates enroll in a postsecondary institution, and 72% of those who enroll persist one year after high school. An independent study by the University of Chicago found that OneGoal students are up to 40% more likely to earn their postsecondary degrees than students from similar backgrounds.
