In today’s economy a postsecondary credential is crucial to attain social mobility and a family sustaining wage. Yet In Chicago, 69% of Chicago Public Schools students aspire to obtain a bachelor’s degree, but only 19% of those who attend open enrollment high schools are projected to get to college. As OneGoal’s founding region, we are here to empower students to not only pursue a postsecondary education but to realize their aspirations and earn their degrees.

Whether trying to make friends in college or coping with the loss of her dad, DePaul University sophomore Huda Ganatra has leaned on the support of her OneGoal community in order to stay on track to earn her degree in Accounting.
“I can text my OneGoal class any time. They’re like a family of 20 people! I know that they’ll respond whenever I reach out.”
We’re working to bring our in-school, teacher-led model to students by adding new high school partners and growing the number of students we serve in our current partners. We will not rest until all of our state’s students have an equitable opportunity to pursue their chosen postsecondary path.
