Enrollment Grant FAQs
What is the Enrollment Grant?
The Enrollment Grant is a limited fund that OneGoal offers to our Fellows with the goal of removing some financial barriers for enrollment in college or other postsecondary programs. Funding is not guaranteed and available on a first come first serve basis until funds run out for the year. This grant is not a substitute for or equivalent to financial aid provided by colleges or other programs, and is not a loan. Fellows should complete the FAFSA and applicable state financial aid applications each year.
How much money can I apply for, and what are the deadlines?
Fellows can receive up to $750 per window OR up to $500 per calendar year, depending on the expense the student is requesting. See the resource packet for more details.

- Window Two: January 6- May 14, 2027. The application closes at 11:59pm pacific time on May 14.
Did the eligibility for the Enrollment Grant change?
Yes, the eligibility requirements changed this year. Due to limited funding, the Enrollment Grant is only available to the class of 2026. We want to focus our funding to support students who are in their first year of postsecondary.
If I’ve received an Enrollment Grant from OneGoal in the past, can I apply again?
Due to limited funding, the Enrollment Grant is only available to the class of 2026.
If a Fellow from the Class of 2026 receives an enrollment grant during Window One, they may apply again in Window Two. If they receive a grant in Window Two that was not the maximum amount offered, they may apply again up to the amount that is left.
Example:
An applicant learns they can request up to $750 from the Enrollment Grant for the Summer/Fall. In July, they submit the grant application for $100 to cover books. In August, they submit a new grant application for $650 to cover enrollment fees. This individual has reached their $750 request maximum for this term and can no longer apply for another Enrollment Grant until the application for Window Two opens.
How do I check the status of my Enrollment Grant application? How long does it take to receive the grant?
The best way to check your application status is to keep an eye on your email address (the one used when applying for the grant). A OneGoal staff member will reach out with an initial email.
Processing times can vary, but most students hear back within 2–3 weeks of submitting a complete application. Be sure to check your email regularly—we schedule our funding calls via email, and we may reach out in case we need any additional info to move forward.
What are supporting documents?
Supporting documents must be submitted with each Enrollment Grant application. These include a class schedule, billing statement, lease agreement, etc. Supporting documents give OneGoal the information needed to fund the request.
How does the OneGoal laptop process work? Can I purchase the laptop now and get reimbursed?
OneGoal does not offer automatic reimbursement for laptops purchased on your own. Fellows will receive a standard HP laptop that does not exceed $400. Fellows who opt for a reimbursement will be reimbursed up to $400.
So please be sure to apply and wait for approval before making any purchases.
Can OneGoal reimburse a payment made while waiting for an Enrollment Grant application to be approved?
No, all reimbursements must be approved in advance. So please be sure to apply and wait for approval before making any purchases.

- For textbooks or school supplies, you can also try:
- Campus libraries, which sometimes keep required textbooks on reserve or provide digital access
- Your professor, who may be able to share temporary access, PDFs, or older editions
- Lower-cost online options, like OpenStax, Amazon textbook rentals, Chegg, or eCampus
