Empower Your Students

to Define Their Own Future

Onramp: OneGoal for 9th & 10th Foundational Curriculum transforms potential into a clear postsecondary plan.

The Future Starts in 9th Grade

Postsecondary planning doesn’t begin senior year—it starts with the identity and habits formed today. Onramp: OneGoal for 9th & 10th Foundational Curriculum is modular, ready-to-teach, and designed to give students the “onramp” they need to navigate their own pathways with confidence.

  • Modular & Flexible: 7 Units, 58 Lessons (use them all or build your own scope and sequence.)
  • System Aligned: Built to meet MyCAP, Early College and other designated pathways, and NEASC standards.
  • Ready to Teach: Includes facilitator guides, slide decks, and learner materials for immediate impact.

We Don’t Just Teach Planning:

We Build the Person

Through Onramp, students gain:

  • Academic Readiness: Master note-taking and high-impact study strategies.
  • Self-Awareness: Explore identity as the “most important subject.”
  • Career Literacy: Expand “college knowledge” and local pathway awareness.
  • Advocacy: Develop a toolkit for personal branding and professional communication.
  • Goal-Setting: Shift the mindset from “working hard” to “working with purpose.”

“I liked how it started with ways to get the students thinking through given examples and then moved into ways they communicate.”

A Roadmap for Discovery

7 Units. 58 Lessons. Infinite Possibilities.

Unit 1: Self-Reflection

-
+

Success begins with a deep understanding of one’s own identity and needs. In this unit, students shift their focus inward to explore themselves as the most important subject of their education. By examining their unique preferences and strengths, students build the personal foundation necessary to navigate life-changing decisions. This self-exploration prepares them to show up authentically in their academic and professional journeys.

Unit 2: Power & Advocacy

-
+

Once students understand their worth, they must learn to articulate their brilliance to the world. This unit explores the dynamics of power within the education system and challenges students to practice self-advocacy with leaders and recruiters. Students will develop a toolkit featuring personal branding, professional communication, and a distinct writer’s voice. These transferable skills empower students to represent themselves boldly and confidently.

Unit 3: Mindsets for Success

-
+

With a firm sense of self and voice, students begin setting goals for their future. Whether heading toward the workforce or a college degree, students must cultivate the mental habits required for long-term success. This unit focuses on developing a growth mindset, proactive planning, and solution-oriented problem-solving. By mastering these professional habits, students ensure they are prepared for the rigors of any chosen path.

Unit 4: Pathway Exploration

-
+

OneGoal empowers students to define their own futures through informed decision-making. Over several weeks, students will receive robust information regarding the various trajectories available to them after high school. By exploring common pathways—including the workforce and degree programs—students gain the clarity needed to choose a direction that aligns with their goals. This unit ensures that every student’s next step is a deliberate and empowered choice.

Unit 5: The Collegiate Landscape

-
+

To make empowered decisions about their future, students need a clear understanding of the collegiate landscape. This unit explores the college experience in depth, covering essential topics like financial aid, campus life, and finding the right “fit and match.” Beyond the basics, students will also develop actionable strategies to navigate the academic demands of college and avoid burnout. By building this foundational knowledge, students ensure that their hard work is backed by a purposeful plan for success.

Unit 6: Life Skills & Literacy

-
+

While building their “on ramp” students focus on exploration rather than a declaration of their pathway. Students identify the pathways they are leaning toward and gather data on the requirements for those specific options. Simultaneously, they will navigate milestones like financial literacy, networking, and leadership-building. This phase ensures students have a practical understanding of the skills required for a successful transition into adulthood.

Unit 7: The Action Plan

-
+

This final unit concludes the curriculum with an intentional look at the journey ahead. Students reflect on how their cultural roots and community values can be leveraged as assets in 11th grade and beyond. After revisiting and adjusting their initial goals, students will present an Action Plan Project that synthesizes their learning. This culminating experience ensures a seamless and confident transition into the next phase of their journey.
