Salary Range: $82,000 – $84,944 is the hiring salary range (i.e. the range a candidate would be offered to start). Please note: OneGoal aligns salaries to Cost of Labor, so the actual salary offered would be dependent on the Cost of Labor in the candidate’s living location.

The Person
The Director of Growth Strategy, will operate both internally and externally to create the conditions for our ever-increasing impact across New York City, New York State and beyond. You will increase our reach to more students, across new current and new geographic regions, and our impact by removing systemic barriers that have traditionally stood in the way of our students enrolling, persisting and completing postsecondary. Working in partnership with the Managing Director of Partnerships & Growth, you will support growth of our program solutions to new districts and schools, support our regional strategy and systems (such as contracts, fee for service processing, etc.), and play a hands-on role in regional operations, including in person engagements and events, and other special projects assigned by your manager.
The Director of Growth Strategy is responsible for the following key strands of work to support our region’s ability to meet our ambitious goals. You will do this by:
Growth: Expand our reach to new districts and schools to increase our sales of new program offerings (45% of role)
- Secure new partnerships across new and existing products.
- Build and manage a portfolio of prospective district/state partners through engagement and partnership pipeline. This includes prospect research, mapping connections, and developing partnership engagement plans as well as leading on growth reporting and tracking through our Salesforce platform.
- In collaboration with the Managing Director, support on all prospective district and state partner outreach, across new and existing markets across all OneGoal program solutions, including developing prep documents, agendas and talking points and customized school/district proposals, managing completion of engagement strategies and plans and adjusting course when needed.
- Serve as a representative of OneGoal at external meetings, conferences, and engagements with partners.
- Partner with OneGoal’s Partnerships and Growth team to align systems and structures for growth and increase our impact.
Strategy: Deepen our impact through strategic initiatives that help position OneGoal New York as a leader in the field (25% of role)
- Plan and engage current and future partners by leading adult and student-facing partnership generators, such as, but not limited to, professional development, meeting facilitation, etc.
- Leverage our suite of national and regional education solutions, counselor PD tools, etc. Be available as needed for evening events, as well as potentially 1-2 weekend engagements per the year.
- Help secure opportunities for expanding our brand within and beyond NYC. Support and staff local coalition work on targeted advocacy to create the conditions for student success across the region.
- Identify and track key state or local policies and initiatives that will deepen our understanding of the landscape and market for our offerings.
Operations & Data: Drive data-informed operations to support growth strategy, and increase our internal capacity to track and report on impact (20% of role)
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate partner pipelines in SalesForce.
- Develop and maintain systems to update and reflect on regional dashboards and trackers
- Drive Fee-For-Service revenue forecasting, managing and tracking, as well as program benchmarks, key performance indicators (KPIs), etc.
Engage in personal learning and support team culture (10% of your role)

Qualifications:
- Ability to travel for 30% of the role within and, occasionally, beyond NYC (required)
- Deep passion and interest in schools, their people and their systems (highly preferred)
- Experience working with New York Public Schools administrators and school leaders (highly preferred)
- Experience in postsecondary education access and success (preferred)
- Sales/revenue-generating background, including proficiency with SalesForce and Google Sheets (preferred)
- Highly personable, demonstrated ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders (preferred)
- Lived experience of the Fellows we serve (preferred)
