Time: While the standard hours for this role are 9:00am – 5:00pm, these hours may be subject to change based on seasonal demand or operational requirements. 

Starting Salary: $106,208 – $111,000 is the hiring range for this role.

The Person 

As the Senior Director of Regional Success, you will be responsible for setting vision, direction, and strategy for the New York region’s cross-collaboration efforts in order to set, manage, and execute the overall vision and direction of programmatic elements and Fellow experience in the New York City Region with the ultimate goal of achieving strong Fellow outcomes of enrollment and persistence. You will manage and equip the Coaching and Advising Team to use that vision and direction to strategically reach our benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continued, thriving impact for the region. 

The Senior Director of Regional Success will be an integral member of the New York Leadership Team, designing, leading and executing on strategies, projects, and work streams that support the New York region to achieve ambitious goals 

You will do this by: 

Coaching  Team Strategy & Execution 40% 

  • Define, create, align, and lead Secondary Team strategic vision and manage team’s execution of team and organization priorities, benchmarks and KPIs for all program years (Y1-Y2)
  • Manage the team toward a clear vision for the student, teacher, and whole school  experience that includes multi-year strategies to achieve desired student outcomes aligned with regional and national frameworks 
  • Sets Student Facing Events vision and manage project planning and team execution 

 

Cross collaboration & Regional Leadership 40% 

  • Creating and managing structures and processes for New York regional team to regularly align on and evaluate regional progress to goal 
  • Facilitate NYC MTAC process through project management and internal/ external communication Developing systems for regional project management 
  • Informing strategic direction and tracking regional progress to ensure systems and structures are in alignment for strong regional performance
  • Collaborating with national counterparts to ensure region meets organizational expectations

 

People Management 20% 

  • Cultivate and support external relationships to support two secondary DTS in portfolio management, Program Director coaching and training, and postsecondary campus relationships and collaborative actions when applicable. 
  • Cultivate and support external relationships to one Director of Campus Support in portfolio management
  • Coaching and training for program directors, school admin and staff and fellows , and postsecondary campus relationships and collaborative actions when applicable. 
  • Cultivate and support external relationship with one Manager of Postsecondary Success in management of direct support for fellows in their postsecondary year. 
  • Manage internal teams to ensure external communication is professional, clear, compelling, accurate and aligned to our mission and vision.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required) 
  • 2-3 years of project management experience (Required) 
  • 2+ years adult coaching/ training or people management experience (Required) 
  • Demonstrated experience cross functional collaboration (Highly Preferred) 
  • Virtual Curriculum design and/or evaluation experience (Preferred) 
  • Lived experience of the Fellows we serve (Preferred) 
  • Ability to travel across New York and the surrounding area
