This month in Azraq Refugee Camp, 39 Syrian refugee coaches participated in a training programme to enhance the youth football club in the camp--a One Goal initiative.

FC Basel 1893 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen instructors educated the women and men coaches on how to offer fun football activities for children. Through the programme the participants received technical and organisational skills to organise grassroots and children’s football.

A key focus of the training programme was on conveying pedagogical, social and leadership skills that enable the Young Coaches to work towards social cohesion and trauma relief for Syrian refugees.

After four days of inspiring training, the Young Coaches managed a great football festival and fun for not less than 130 boys and 100 girls.
